Use the meal ticket scheme

Have your say

St Wilfrid’s Centre for the homeless and vulnerable currently operate a meal ticket scheme which is particularly helpful to those who may have a dilemma about giving to beggars on the street.

Many people want to help those who are less fortunate, but feel sometimes that the money given may go on drink or drugs.

St Wilf’s has an answer.

Tickets are on sale at £1.80 each from the centre and can be given directly to beggars in need.

These can then be exchanged at the centre for a meal and clothing.

The donors can have peace of mind in that the money they spend is going directly to the charity.

It is a great way of giving and at the same time being sure that the person in need really gets help.
