A NEW exhibition in Sheffield examines the relationship people have with urban environments,
The Cupola Gallery, Hillsborough, hosts the diverse collection from more than 30 student and graduate artists from Friday.
Called Urban, it includes paintings, sculptures, photography and textiles.
Managing director Karen Sherwood said: “This exhibition has tried to show how our urban landscape is not all ‘urban decay and misery’, but a mixture of beauty and ugliness that both repels and charms us every day.”
Some of the work includes cubes formed from electrical cables by Paul Matosic and industrial-inspired silver jewellery by Fiona West.
The exhibition runs until Sunday, July 1 and an opening event takes place on Friday.
