Motorists are being warned to expect long delays on Woodhead Pass tonight after a lorry pulling a trailer flipped high wind.
Police say the affected part of the A628 is now closed and motorists are urged to find alternative routes between Barnsley and Manchester.
Officers received reports around 1.34pm today that a lorry pulling a trailer had blown over.
Witnesses said that a minibus had crashed off the road to avoid hitting the overturned truck.
Luckily, nobody was injured in the incident.
The location of the crash is near Windle Edge, near to the Dog and Partridge pub.
Traffic heading in a westerly direction were affected by the crash.
