A woman has been left with ‘serious and possible life changing injuries’ after a crash between a Porsche Cayenne and a lorry in Doncaster.
Officers were called to junction 36 of the A1 in Warmsworth around 11.35pm last night to deal with the collision.
Fire crews also attended the scene to cut the woman, aged 45, free from the car.
It was initially said that the motorist suffered minor injuries but the situation changed when the woman was taken to hospital, police have said.
The driver is still in hospital at this time.
A long strech of the road was closed off for several hours as emergency services dealt with the incident.
