Police closed some Doncaster roads this morning over concerns for the safety of a man.

Officers closed Long Gate, Wilsic Road and Stainton Lane in Wadworth, Doncaster, earlier this morning.

They said a man has now been taken to hospital and the road has re-opened.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police closed Long Gate, Wilsic Road and Stainton Lane in Doncaster due to concerns for the safety of a 25-year-old man at around 4.20am this morning.

"The man has been taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening and the roads have now been reopened."
