PARTY goers attending the Under The Stars disco spent one night in Heaven when they were joined by pop star Martyn Ware.

Heaven 17 frontman Martyn was at the party at Sheffield Hallam University Students Union to perform a two-hour set alongside Under The Star’s resident DJs Carl Worth and Eddy Jackson.

Martyn Said: “Having seen some of the previous Under The Stars events on YouTube, I was pretty certain we’d have a great time, but I was overwhelmed by the atmosphere and the joy shown in the room.

“I co-DJ’d with Carl who was rocking the house.

“As patron of UTS, it was a proud night for me and I hope this is the first of many events I can help with in the future.”

Under The Stars is a learning disability-friendly nightclub run by people with a learning disability.

Ruth Parrott, operations manager, said: “The dance floor was heaving and we had a really busy night.

“We’re really grateful for to Martyn for supporting our events and we enjoyed it as much as he did.”
