Two teenagers injured in Doncaster motorbike crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious motorcycle crash in Doncaster which left two teenagers seriously injured.

South Yorkshire Police has issued a plea for information after the bike crashed into a wall and house on Carr Lane, Wadworth, leaving the rider and passenger injured.

At around 6.45pm on Friday, August 2, a black Jialing motorcycle ridden by an 18-year-old man, with a 17-year-old girl riding as a pillion passenger, was travelling along Carr Lane towards Main Street, Wadworth.

It is thought that as the motorcycle approached the junction with Manor Rise, it left the road and mounted the footpath, striking a garden stone wall and the corner of a house.

The 18-year-old man, from Warmsworth, was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with minor injuries to his chest and shoulder.

The 17-year-old girl, from Wadworth, was not wearing a safety helmet and sustained serious head injuries. She was airlifted to the Northern General Hospital.
