HUNDREDS of charity walkers will step out in the Peak District to raise funds for the British Red Cross.
Around 350 walkers will take part in the Chatsworth Challenge on Sunday, September 9 and 100 more are due to take part in the 12-mile Peak District Walk on September 23.
Organisers are aiming to raise £17,000 for the Red Cross to be spent in Derbyshire and further afield.
Funds will go towards the Derbyshire Defib Appeal, which aims to buy six new defibrillators for the area’s community first responder and event first aid teams.
The 25-mile walking event starts and finishes in Baslow with participants crossing Derbyshire’s gritstone edges,.
