TWO men were due before Sheffield magistrates today over a stabbing attack on a city estate over the weekend.
The city men - aged 29 and 26 - were arrested after a 23-year-old man was stabbed on Constable Road in Gleadless Valley at 9.30pm on Saturday.
He was rushed to the Northern General Hospital for treatment, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police said the 29-year-old man they arrested was charged with wounding and was remanded in custody pending his court appearance today.
The 26-year-old arrested over the incident has been charged with possession of a bladed article and has been granted conditional bail pending his court hearing.
Detectives stress that the attack is not connected to the stabbing on Callow Mount, Gleadless Valley, which led to the death of 30-year-old Zabihullah Rafiq in the early hours of Sunday.
