Two men have been charged and others arrested after violence flared following the Rotherham versus Bradford football match.

A Bradford fan walking with his six-year-old son on Corporation Street sustained a serious head injury when he was assaulted by Rotherham fans on Saturday, November 9.

Three men were arrested on the day on suspicion of affray.

Boys of 15 and 17 and two 21-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and bailed.

One man has been charged with a S4 public order offence and assaulting a PC and was due at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court today. A man is also due before magistrates on December 24 charged with throwing a missile.

Another man was given a fixed penalty notice for a public order offence.
