Twin peaks for runners

RUNNERS and walkers from South Yorkshire and north Derbyshire are being urged to take part in two fundraising challenges.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing for Sheffield walkers to take on the challenge of scaling the highest mountain in Northern Ireland.

The Slieve Donard Mountain challenge is to walk 850 metres high, which will take between three and five hours to complete and raise at least 100 in sponsorship on Saturday September 13.

To register or for more information please call Katie on 0114 279 3010.

And runners wanting to take part in next year's London Marathon can sign up to the Marie Curie Cancer Care team.
