SHOPPERS are enjoying a taste of Tunisia with the return of the souk to Sheffield city centre.

Stalls in Fargate are offering a vibrant choice of specialist foods and crafts and have proved popular in the fine spring weather.

Visitors have been browsing amid a selection of authentic Tunisian home goods and accessories including garden pots, terracotta lamps, gifts, clothes, mirrors, jewellery and glass.

And for anyone feeling a bit peckish there’s been some tasty treats in the shape of baklava, patisseries, olives, couscous, herbs and spices.

The distinct Mediterranean feel has made the second market of the year a hit with shoppers and workers.

Local farmers are also selling bakery products, pickles, chutneys and jams and meat. The market runs until Sunday.
