TUC national march

Have your say

The TUC National March and Demonstration will be held in London on March 26.

It will be one of the most important and most significant events in the struggle of the ordinary working people of this country in their united fightback against the ideological, unnecessary and unfair spending cuts being imposed by the present Conservative-Liberal Democrat Coalition Government.

For this reason the Sheffield Trades Union Council, has resolved to dig deep into its limited financial resources and book five coaches to transport 250 trade unionists, their families, and friends free of charge to London return.

The five coaches will depart from Pond Hill (just below the Penny Black Pub) at 7am and in return depart from London at 5pm.

The London departure point has still to be agreed.

The booking of free seats on the Sheffield TUC coaches is offered to trade union members, their families, and their friends.

Applications, however, for individuals and for groups of people should be made by bona fide members of TUC affiliated trade unions. On, and from February 16 unbooked free seats will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Please forward applications for seats to the Sheffield TUC Office, at the Trades and Labour Club, Talbot Street, Sheffield S2 2TG by Royal Mail or email billronksey@hotmail.com, giving your name, address, and the name of your trade union branch/organisation; and the number of seats you wish to reserve.

Time is extremely limited so please give the booking of free seats your immediate attention.

Bill Ronksey, Secretary,

Sheffield TUC
