Try driving bus

Have your say

As a bus driver I take exception to R Davison’s accusation that the congestion problem in Sheffield is our fault. We run to timetables but sometimes we run late and this has a heavy bearing on the number of buses in the city centre. Congestion can also be because of inconsiderate motorists parking at bus stops, especially on the High Street. Try doing the job yourself. Ssee how you get on.

Cruel National

People who attend the Grand National help to keep the racing industry and, therefore the slaughter, going. Punters do too, via a bookmakers’ levy to the industry, of the order of a hundred million pounds a year. Grand National horse-deaths happen every year. The industry, the attendees and punters know it’s going to happen. Can we accuse them all of deliberately killing horses for their fun and profit? Looks a bit like it to me.
