Fitness freaks and couch potatoes are being asked to come together for a mammoth exercise session.

Sheffield charity Manor and Castle Development Trust is appealing for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels to take part in its two-hour fundraising session.

The event, dubbed Fitness in the Community, takes place at the Park Centre, at the old Park Baths, Samson Street, this Saturday.

Kicking off at noon, there will be two hours of different forms of exercise from aerobics to zumba.

Leading the pack will be fitness instructor Kellyanne Sharman, who runs the trust’s programme of exercise and activities.

As well as raising cash for the trust, Fitness in the Community will be promoting other ways people can lead healthier lifestyles.

Kellyanne said: “We are fighting all the time for funding and this will help us that bit more.”

■ Entry costs £5 and participants are asked to raise sponsorship. Call 0114 2521031 for details.
