YOUNG dancers from a South Yorkshire theatre school wore red, white and blue for a photo shoot organised to promote an annual motorcycle event in Scarborough.

The girls from the Gillian Banks Theatre School in Maltby, Rotherham, were picked to promote the Scarborough GoldWing Light Parade which raises funds for the RNLI.

Event organiser John Bates, from Rotherham, wanted to create a poster-style image to promote the exhibition and parade of bikes and was inspired by The Showstoppers – a Gillian Banks Theatre School production put on recently at the Civic Theatre.

The images will be used to promote the event taking place on Saturday, September 8, in Scarborough’s South Bay.

There will be a static display of bikes before the light parade which will see thousands of spectators line the seafront to watch the lit-up bikes drive along the promenade in a procession.
