Trio are top of the tree at Sheffield High School

THIS terrific trio are on top of the world - after being voted in as the new head girl team at Sheffield High School.

Head girl for the next academic year is Anita Chandran from Dore, while her deputies are Guneet Kohli and Elizabeth Swain.

The students, all aged 17, were chosen to head up the sixth form prefect team through a combined vote by their peers and the teaching staff.

Anita is studying for five A-levels and hopes to study natural sciences or physics at university. She is a committed member of several music ensembles at school.

Guneet, from Shiregreen, hopes to study aerospace engineering with pilot instruction at university. She enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including drama, piano, reading, history, travelling and volunteering.

Elizabeth, from Warmsworth, Doncaster, hopes to study medicine. She is currently training for the London Marathon in 2013 and runs a successful cupcake business.
