Heartbreaking floral tributes have been left to a ‘special little girl’ from South Yorkshire who died tragically in a fire at her home.

Libby-Jayne Hornsby, aged two, died in hospital after flames took hold at her terraced house on Don Street in Conisbrough.

As the toddler’s distraught family grieve over their devastating loss, mourners have left bouquets of colourful flowers and cuddly toys at the scene.

A card attached to one bunch of flowers read: “God bless to a special little girl - you now have your own special little wings and are flying high with the angels.

“You will be sadly missed by all who knew you. Forever in our hearts always.”

Another tribute read: “Dear angel Libby-Jayne, missing you already. Let your huge smile light up heaven. Love you always, Aunty Lynne and Uncle Steve.”

A further mourner simply wrote: “RIP little princess - goodnight and God bless.”

Fire crews were called at 7.45pm last Thursday. The blaze in an upstairs bedroom involved bedding, and there was no smoke alarm at the property.
