South Yorkshire Pensions Authority has paid tribute to a former head of pensions administration who worked in local government for nearly four decades.
Dave Wilkinson died on New Year’s Eve, aged 57, after losing his battle with cancer.
The authority, which oversees the pension pot for all local bodies in South Yorkshire, has described his death as a ‘terrible loss’.
John Hattersley, fund director, said: “Dave was full of life and joy, with plenty of ideas and will be missed by all the people who knew him.”
Dave, from Doncaster, retired last March. He is survived by his partner Christine, children Ben and Amy and four grandchildren.
