DESIGNER shorts can be won by readers - after the brand new piece of Prada clothing was donated to a Sheffield charity shop.
The shorts, worth around £160, were handed in to The Conservation Volunteers shop, called The Big Green Bag, on Ecclesall Road.
Volunteers have transformed the jeans into a pair of shorts to give them a quirky appeal and are now offering them as a prize.
Readers who ‘like’ the shop’s Facebook fan page in the next six weeks are in with a chance of taking the shorts home.
Douglas Palarm, from The Conservation Volunteers, said the shorts were brand new.
He said: “The shorts look really good.
“It is quite rare to get something like this - we get lots of good stock but these are brand new.
“The jeans would have been worth around £160 and are a brand that anybody would recognise.”
The shorts have a 32-inch waist and were originally men’s jeans.
They now form the centrepiece of the shop’s window display and are in a special glass cabinet.
Douglas urged people to join the fan page to be in with a chance of winning.
He added: “We are doing this to raise awareness of the shop and also our fan page.
“I think it is a really good thing for somebody to win.”
