Good-looking Travis is hoping someone will love him enough to take him home from a Sheffield animal centre.
The akita-cross is currently being cared for at the RSPCA animal care centre in Attercliffe.
Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager, said: “Travis has a very unusual coat for a dog – an akita crossbreed.
“It is a lovely brindle and white and is very plush and soft to the touch.
“He’d make a glorious pet for someone.
“We don’t have a huge amount of information on his history, but he has no known health issues and he is very well-liked at the centre.
“Travis is a bit nervous of meeting new people at first, he isn’t too fond of very busy environments and he can be choosy about his canine friends, so he will need sensible and steady introductions.
“However, he loves to be out and about, likes people and life and he likes playing with his toys, especially squeaky toys when you can really see the puppy-side of this big teddy bear-looking dog.”
Mr Benham said Travis will need a minimum of two 40-minute walks a day.
RSPCA Sheffield is open daily, from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, except Wednesdays, when it opens 5pm to 7pm.
