Travel agent’s busiest day

SHEFFIELD’S Thomson Holiday shop is predicting Saturday will be its busiest day for holiday bookings as locals look to escape the weather for warmer climes.

Based on booking patterns over the last three years, Thomson is expecting a peak in bookings on Saturday.

The superstore reports high demand for destinations including Greece, Mexico and the Balearics, and is expecting trips to Italy and Florida to continue to be popular.

Couples’ resorts, holiday villages and SplashWorld all-inclusive properties are proving most popular.
