A TRANSPORT boss was today helping answer the phones at South Yorkshire Passenger Executive’s passenger helpline to mark National Customer Service Week.

Ben Still, director of strategy at South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive, was at the Sheffield Information and Contact Centre to spend time with staff and help take some calls.

He said: “We put the customer at the heart of what we do to make using public transport as easy as possible.”

Each day this week until Friday, transport officials will also be on hand to speak to members of the public at Rotherham, Sheffield, Meadowhall, Doncaster and Barnsley interchanges and help customers with planning a journey, getting to work on time, avoiding disruptions and staying safe.
