Supertram is inviting customers and staff to mark Remembrance Sunday.

The Sheffield tram network will offer free travel to uniformed armed forces personnel throughout the day.

Supertram will also invite customers and employees to observe the two-minute silence at 11am, briefly halting services where it is safe to do so.

Margaret Kay, Supertram managing director, said: “We’re pleased to be able to show our support for Armed Forces personnel by providing free travel on this important day and we would invite all of our customers to take part in the two-minute silence.

“It is only right we remember those who were lost in action and pay tribute to the sacrifices that were made.”
