A DAD-of-two found hanged in an Eckington flat had taken an overdose a week earlier, an inquest heard.
Clint Howe, 31, and his wife Charlotte had separated about seven months before his death and Mr Howe, a welder, was sleeping rough in a car.
His boss Christopher Baron arranged for him to live at his father’s flat in Springfield Close, Eckington.
A week before his death last September Mr Howe was sectioned in a mental health unit for a day after taking an overdose of pills. The Chesterfield inquest heard Mr Howe was due to attend an appointment at the mental health unit and Mr Baron worried when Mr Howe did not show up for work.
He visited the flat, forced open the rear door with a rock, and found Mr Howe dead.
Deputy North Derbyshire Coroner Nigel Anderson adjourned the hearing pending further inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Mr Howe’s release from Hartington mental health unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
