DEVASTATED friends have paid tribute to the man killed in a chemicals incident at his home in Sheffield.
Pals said the 30-year-old - whom they named only as Brian - “brought fun, laughter and happiness wherever he went”.
A friend called Ali said: “Without being lucky enough to have Brian in your life, it would be hard to understand what an amazing, gentle person he really was.
“He was a clever and talented man who had so much more to give to the world.
“He cared so much for his friends, family and those around him, he would never have done anything to hurt anyone else.
“He was the most considerate and selfless person we have ever known.
“He always put other people’s problems first, so much so no-one was aware of what really going on in his head.
“Brian has left an emptiness in so many lives, most of all he has left so much love, more love than he could have possibly known.”
The death sparked an evacuation of neighbouring homes on Monday when housemates found Brian’s body, with a noxious chemical, in a house on Holland Place, Highfield.
Police have not yet formally identified the man and an inquest has not yet opened.
