Motorists are being warned to expect disruption as work begins on a new scheme in Chesterfield.
On Monday July 14 several roads will be closed around Hornsbridge Island, a major roundabout in Chesterfield which accesses the town centre, A61 and takes drivers to the M1.
The inner lane will be coned off for safety and the traffic signals switched off.
The island is being landscaped to transform the gateway into town and a sculpture, called Growth, will sit on top of it.
Coun John Burrows, Chesterfield Council leader, said: “Please plan your journey ahead and allow some extra time, particularly during busy periods.”
