I don’t know just where your correspondent gets the idea from that Sheffield cutlery ceases to be made.
British Silverware (Thesco) are still making fantastic cutlery, as are Carrs at Halfway.
They both produce world beating E.P.N.S. and Sterling Silver pieces, plus many small cutlery firms are still marking their wares “Made In Sheffield”.
So, Darren, don’t try to bury our cutlery trade before it’s dead. “Otha from Sheffield, lad?”
