A Sheffield couple proved their marriage had not gone to the dogs when they enjoyed a diamond day out for their anniversary.
Denys and Pauline Wragg, of Stannington, marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Owlerton Stadium, where Pauline, aged 84, worked as a tote operator for more than 40 years.
To mark the diamond anniversary, they enjoyed a meal at the greyhound stadium’s restaurant with former colleagues and friends.
Pauline said the secret to her long marriage to Denys, 89, was making the most of each other’s love.
She said: “Obviously we’ve had our ups and downs, but the trick is to just get on with it. We love each other and we tell each other everything.“
“It was a lovely meal. It was fantastic to have a delicious meal and be looked after.
“We got a lot of hugs and kisses from our friends from over the years. It was a great night.”
