YOUNG people have access to a raft of new facilities at a new £3.4 million centre in Rotherham town centre.
The MyPlace building next to St Ann’s roundabout includes a graffiti art room, IT suite, cinema, performance hall and café for youngsters aged 11 to 19.
It will also act as a base for agencies to provide support and advice to young people.
Coun Mahroof Hussain, Rotherham Council’s cabinet member for communities, said: “This project is the flagship for the future of integrated services for young people in Rotherham.
He added: “This is another example of groups in Rotherham coming together to create a new venture which will help meet needs and aspirations of young people. It will be fantastic to see it full.”
The project has been funded through the National Lottery.
