The Friends of Sandall Park are showing their support for the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire by joining the campaign to Turn Yorkshire Yellow.
To mark the occasion, the Barclay family, who are members of the voluntary group, have created these innovative planters which add a little sunshine and brighten up the day for the park visitors.
The Friends of Sandall Park are a group of like minded people dedicated to the improvement of the park for the benefit of its human visitors, birds and resident wildlife.
The group is primarily made up of volunteers who work alongside professionals from various agencies committed to regenerating the park and they are certainly enthusiastic and forward thinking.
The Friends will continue to develop the park in a way that reflects what visitors want. Sandall Park is an important and unique resource for the people of Doncaster as a whole, and the local community in particular. Why not go along and enjoy the facilities and events at the park and maybe even consider becoming a ‘Friend’ yourself.
