CONSERVATIVES hoping for a revival after poor results around South Yorkshire at the local elections have launched a new campaign centre.
The building, in Moorgate, Rotherham, was launched by Lord Feldman, pictured, co-chairman of the national Tory Party, and Conservative Baroness Sayeeda Warsi.
The two politicians were welcomed at the opening by Andy Frith, chairman of South Yorkshire Conservatives, along with Vonny Watts and Linda Donaldson who are the local deputy chairmen.
Vonny, who unsuccessfully challenged for a Lib Dem-held Sheffield Council seat in Fulwood, said: “Lord Feldman was keen to thank us all for our recent efforts in the elections.
“He also pledged his support for our future attempts to gain Conservative representation in Sheffield and increase our representation in other parts of South Yorkshire.”
