A CARE home worker joined the top table when he met a minister to discuss social care.
Gary Shaw swapped his normal duties at Herries Lodge Care Home on Teynham Road, Sheffield, to visit MP Norman Lamb in London.
He was able to quiz the Department of Health minister after winning the ancillary care worker award at his regional round of the Great British Care Awards.
Gary said: “I was thrilled when I won my award and to be chosen to discuss my opinions on the care sector is a real privilege.
“I’d just like to thank everyone who supported me and enabled me to win the award.”
