THE world is at Clare Rees-Zimmerman’s feet – after she notched the best results in the whole country in her GCSE geography exams.
The 16-year-old from Sheffield High School has only just found out how well she did in last summer’s papers.
Clare scored 98 per cent - and so has won a Royal Geographical Society Excellence Award for coming top of the pile out of 67,684 students across England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
The society’s head of education, Steve Brace, said: “We congratulate Clare on her exceptional grade. This is a testament to her hard work and ability as a geographer, along with the high quality teaching in her school.”
