Sheffield swimmer Claire Howson has made a splash at her regular pool. The 41-year-old, from Woodhouse, has been honoured after notching up 6,400 lengths – 100 miles – at Eckington Swimming Pool. Claire, who suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare condition sometimes known as brittle bone disease, and epilepsy, worked towards the goal as part of the pool’s SwimFit scheme. Claire said: “I’m a regular swimmer and have enjoyed working towards this goal. The scheme gives you something to aim for.”
Receptionist Ros Walker is seen presenting Claire with a certificate and badge.
