Have your say

It’s time to have your say on Sheffield’s environmental future - from climate change to sustainable transport.

That’s the message from the city’s Green Commission, which has been set up to make sure environmental concerns are given a high priority over the next 20 years.

It will sit over several months to hear evidence, hold debates and listen to expert witnesses.

A final report will then set out recommendations to Sheffield Council’s cabinet.

Coun Jack Scott, Sheffield Council’s cabinet member for environment, recycling and Streetscene, said: “This is a huge task and we cannot undertake it alone.

“We want to launch a conversation about all aspects of Sheffield’s environmental future so that everyone who cares about green issues can give their views.

“We would like as many people as possible to get involved - you don’t have to be an expert and we will consider every comment.”
