Ticket details: Meat Loaf and X-Factor coming to Sheffield

HEAVYWEIGHT rock champ Meat Loaf and X-Factor pop newcomers are heading for the Motorpoint Arena Sheffield.

Bat Out Of Hell superstar Meat Loaf is celebrating 30-years in showbusiness with his Hang Cool Tour at the venue on Saturday, December 11.

One of the most successful recording artists of all time, with a string of major hits also including Dead Ringer For Love and I'd Do Anything For Love, he is renowned for the power and drama of his live shows.

Meat Loaf's debut album, Bat Out Of Hell has sold more than 37 million copies since its release in 1977 and still sells around 200,000 copies every year. In the UK, the album has never left the charts.

Hang Cool Teddy Bear is his latest offering. Tour tickets, priced 48 & 58 - first 12 rows on floor - go on general sale Friday, September 3, at 9am.

Meanwhile, X Factor is back - with a record 12 million TV viewers tuning in to the first episode. And the finalists will appear live at the area on Tuesday, March 1.

Last year's winner Joe McElderry and finalists Jedward, Olly Murs, Stacey Soloman, Lucie Jones and Jamie Archer featured in the most recent live tour. It completely sold out, with almost a million people seeing the show across an unprecedented 57 dates.

X-Factor Live Tour tickets are 32.50 and family of four tickets 110 - including a maximum of four adults. They go on general sale on Saturday, September 4, at 9am.

Booking fees may apply. Buy in person at the venue, call 0114 256 5656 or online at www.motorpointarena.co.uk.
