THEY are fit, fearless and looking for high-kicking youngsters ready to bring on a few tricks of their own.
The cheerleading craze is sweeping Sheffield and now children as young as nine are being invited to learn the colourful acrobatics for themselves.
The Sheffield Storm All Stars are holding trials on Sunday July 12 and hoping to find dancers – both boys and girls – who can represent the city in the National Championships.
They are also launching a junior team for nine to 14-year-olds, with everyone from complete beginners to experts invited to join in the fun.
Coral Head, who competes with the GB cheerleading team, set up the group in October 2007 and has seen the popularity soar ever since.
When the All Stars first got together there was only one other cheerleading team in Sheffield but now schools across the city are clamouring to get involved.
"Cheerleading is really big now," she said. "Every time there is a competition it becomes at least triple the size of the previous one. Now you have to book almost a year in advance to even go.
"I think typically in schools it is getting popular because it is fun to do."
The All Stars are always on the look out for gymnasts, dancers and acrobats but the main things new members need are passion, commitment, willingness to learn and a drive to succeed.
