Three more men have been charged with murder today over the killing of Sheffield man Grant Bodell.

The 23-year-old father-of-two was shot dead in June last year.

Marvis Smith, 29, of Park Grange Road, Norfolk Park, Stevin Pierre, 23, of Waterslacks Close, Woodhouse and Brendan McFarlane, 21, of Hyde Park Terrace, Park Hill, have today been charged with his murder.

They will all appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 9.

One man has already been charged with murder in connection to Mr Bodell’s death.

Torrington Smith, 25, of Samuel Close, Norfolk Park, was charged with murder on Tuesday, April 7 and was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Sheffield Crown Court on July 29.

Mr Bodell, of Windy House Lane, Manor, was found injured on parkland off Queen Mary Road in the Manor area of Sheffield at around 2.20am on Saturday 21 June 2014.

He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.

Around 400 people attended his funeral last August.
