Three people hurt after cars hits lamppost in Barnsley

Three people were injured after a car hit a parked vehicle before mounting a pavement and crashing into a lamppost in Barnsley.

They were all travelling in a silver Ford Mondeo, which was travelling along Pitt Street in the direction of Station Road, in Darfield, when the accident happened at about 3.15am yesterday.

A 23-year-old man, who was a passenger, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 23-year-old man, who was driving, and a 22-year-old woman were also injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw the accident, or the manner of driving before the crash, to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 192 of February 15, 2015. Alternatively call Crimestoppers.
