Three more arrests have been made by police over a hit-and-run collision which left a pedestrian fighting for life.
A 50-year-old Barnsley man suffered fractures to nearly every bone in his body when he was struck by a car on Racecommon Road, Barnsley, in December last year.
The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
One arrest was made in December and another three on Sunday.
All four have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
A force spokesman said: “The injured man is making steady progress in his recovery and is now out of hospital. All four people are currently on police bail while inquiries continue.”
