Three men have been arrested as part of an investigation into historic child sexual exploitation offences in Sheffield and Rotherham.

The men, aged 21, 23 and 28-years-old, were arrested today, Wednesday, on suspicion of committing a number of sexual offences against underage girls between 2005 and 2009.

The 28-year-old was arrested following a warrant at a property in the Hackenthorpe area of Sheffield.

The 21-year-old was arrested in Leeds and the 23-year-old man was arrested in the Arbourthorne area of Sheffield.

The men are currently in police custody and will be questioned by detectives.
