THREE men were injured when they crashed a stolen car during a police pursuit in Barnsley.
The black Volkswagen Bora driven by a 22-year-old man, hit a garden wall on Houghton Road, in Thurnscoe, at around 8.30pm on Wednesday.
Police said the car, believed to have been stolen from Barrowfield Road, Thurnscoe, failed to stop for officers on Station Road.
Two marked white Ford Focus police cars with lights and sirens activated chased the vehicle which went the wrong side of a mini traffic island at the junction of Station Road and Houghton Road.
The driver then lost control of the car and crashed into a garden wall on Houghton Road.
Two male passengers, aged 18 and 19, sustained slight injuries and were taken to Barnsley District General Hospital but not detained.
The driver suffered a broken leg and possible internal injuries and was also taken to Barnsley District General Hospital.
All three men are from Barnsley.
A police spokeswoman said the car was being stopped after a report of a theft from Barrowfield Road.
