Three injured after two car collision in Barnsley

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Cudworth, Barnsley, which left three people injured.

A silver Peugeot 307 and a black Volkswagen Bora were involved in a smash on Weetshaw Lane, at the junction with Royston Road, Cudworth, at 5.10am on Tuesday, December 30.

Two men, aged 47 and 26, who were in the Peugeot, were taken to hospital, with the younger man being treated for serious injuries.

A 61-year-old man who was travelling in the Volkswagen was also taken to hospital.

Witnesses to the incidents should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
