THREE men suspected of hunting wild animals with dogs have been arrested and bailed.
The trio - a 46-year-old and a 21-year-old from Mexborough, and a 17-year-old from Conisbrough - were arrested by police who stopped to check a suspicious vehicle on Rotherham Road, Clowne.
They have now been bailed pending further inquiries, and officers would like to trace another two men who were in the area at the time last Friday, at around 8.15pm.
Police can arrest anyone suspected of hunting illegally, or who is thought to be about to do so.
The maximum fine on conviction is £5,000, and courts also have powers to confiscate dogs or hunting equipment.
