Education is a real family affair for three generations who have graduated from the same Sheffield university.
Benjamin Wilding, aged 22, has followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by studying at The University of Sheffield.
His father Professor Richard Wilding OBE, who graduated in 1987, said: “Sheffield’s in our blood.
“I think my class was the first to graduate in the Octagon Centre when it had just been built.
“I also learned to walk on the corridors of the University’s Hicks Building while my dad was working here during his PhD.”
Benjamin, who achieved a first class honours degree in chemical engineering, praised his university lecturers and course and said: “Sheffield has given me a phenomenal gift.”
His grandfather Dr Malcolm Wilding, aged 74, gained a PhD in physics at the university back in 1966.
