Thousands of tributes for a fallen hero - PICTURES
WE will not forget.
A Union Flag flutters at half mast, above floral tributes laid in memory of a fallen hero.
The flowers were placed at the flagpole just off Bridge Street in Killamarsh, close to where Corporal Liam Riley lived.
Cpl Riley, aged 21, a former pupil of Westfield School who grew up in Beighton, had lived in Killamarsh for the past seven years.
The soldier, a member of the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment, lost his life trying to save army pal Lance Corporal Graham Shaw.

Owls fans staged their own show of respect for Cpl Riley - displaying a banner in tribute to the big Sheffield wednesday fan before the team's game against Nottingham Forest.
Both Cpl Riley and Lance Cpl Graham Shaw stepped on explosive devices planted by the Taliban in Helmand Province in Afghanistan.
A soldier from the age of 16, Liam had only been posted to the war-torn country for a little over a month when he died.
Thousands of tributes have been posted on a Facebook page set up in memory of the soldier, described by Prince Harry as "a legend".
Scores of family and friends travelled down to the Wiltshire village of Wootton Bassett to honour the two soldiers as their bodies were repatriated on Friday.
Tributes have continued to pour in for Cpl Riley on The Star's website.
One reader said: "He died making Britain and Afghanistan safer places."
Another said: "I watched his family on the news just after he'd died. It was heartbreaking because even though they were in tears and absolutely devastated they couldn't help smiling when they talked about him. I think that's one of the best tributes they could give him."
