KIDS from inner-city areas will be able to visit a local farm following a donation of more than £2,000 raised by people giving away their old clothes.
Charity shop First In Best Dressed, based on Cambridge Street, donated the cash to Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, which provides residential breaks for youngsters.
The shop, which opened last year, takes on apprentices and gives them practical experience of running a business, as well as collecting money for good causes.
The project is supported by Sheffield Council, the Skills Funding Agency and The Source Skills Academy.
A group of apprentices presented a cheque for £2,200 to representatives from the farm, including head of fundraising Joan Ward.
Joan said: “We are extremely grateful for this generous donation.”
