Thousands of people are expected to feast as popular Sheffield street market returns
The Sharrow Vale Market is back on Sunday April 19 from noon until 4pm, and will raise cash for ASSIST Sheffield and the RSPB.
It will include dozens of stalls run by many local firms and organisations - selling everything from cake to crafts and plants to pies.
Independent and quirky shops lining Sharrowvale Road will also be open.
Shelley Cockayne, from Sharrow Vale Community Association, said there would be a ‘smorgasboard of Sharrow Vale specialities and pantry-fulls of fantastic food’.
The market has grown, and now stretches from Hunters Bar roundabout down to Ashford Road and is held every three months.
On Sunday entertainment will be provided at a ‘busker’s corner’.
Shelley added: “Buskers and volunteers are always welcome and they don’t need to live in the area, just a willingness to make events happen and keep visitors happy and safe.”
The Porter Cottage pub is hosting acoustic blues and folk to raise money for Weston Park Cancer Hospital.
