I’m the union steward being confronted by the heckler on the Star front page on Friday.
It is extreme distortion to focus on the only person who expressed opposition to the strike or protests.
As a steward I had to speak to the heckler because he was loudly abusing the crowd whilst they were trying to listen to speakers. I was explaining that our campaign was about protecting jobs as well as pensions. You also fail to mention that he was removed by the police for his aggressive behaviour. Despite this you devote all of the front page to his statements.
As a media teacher I understand why you chose this. However, I am still disgusted by this attempt to distort public perception. This is gutter-press bias of the most blatant kind.
